To accommodate a wide range of farm situations, HST offers an equally wide range of high quality dairy pellet products. These offer choices such as high digestible fibre, ultra-low fibre, high starch + sugars, premium performance feeds and a wide range of protein contents, all with a suitably formulated digestible undegradable protein (DUP) component. The optimum choice for any situation is best identified in conjunction with an experienced HST feed specialist.
A blend is a simple unprocessed mixture of feed ingredients. A Signature blend can be made specially to your own formulation. So if Mr Jones wants 25% sugar beet pellets, 15% soya, 10% lucerne pellets, 30% maize gluten and 20% rapemeal, then that is exactly what “the Jones blend” will contain. Some customers give us an exact specification like this. Others seek the recommendation of their HST feed specialist to complement the forages and other feeds already available on the farm.
The main use of meals is in total mixed rations (TMR) to achieve a uniform distribution of nutrients throughout the mix. They are available in a fine or coarse grist, as standard fixed formulations or to a specific recipe, depending on each customer’s requirements.
